Hal-e-effing-lu-yah

...my dog, she can hear some stuff. When I ask loudly, "Do you want it??!!?" rather loudly and referring to the fork full of pasta I am holding she says, BOOF!...which is business as usual in her fully hearing days. It's not a 'recovery' but I think she is hearing some stuff...and yes, she can eat off a fork, thanks for asking.

  • Aloha, Laurie,

Glad to hear Sarah is doing better...although I'm not sure about feeding a dog pasta. But, hell, I used to have a dog who liked popcorn, so...why not?

I hope you like Crystal Hurdle's book "After Ted & Sylvia" after my big buildup. I'd like to hear what you think. Drop me an email and let me know your opinion... I'm at jhlong12648@yahoo.com

While I'm at it, I might as well mention that my own collection "Between Wings" is available through Amazon.com. Three of the poems are to be reprinted in the next issue of Plath Profiles. There is a sampling of some of the poems that can be seen on the web publisher's site at www.lulu.com

    Cheers, Jim Long

P.S. I'm logging in as Anonymous because I can't seem to get my Google account login to work, just like on Peter's blog.

  • Hi Jim~ I always enjoyed your writings at Elaine's site and it was good to see you at Peter's. I'll head over to the Amazon soon as I get this writ and I'll check out lulu. I noticed the Plath Profiles link the other day on Peter's blog and considered maybe sending something in...but fear it is too amateur.

I will let you know about T&S. I'm pretty picky about what I like far as poetry goes, so don't feel 'guilty' or anything (haha) if I don't love it.

Yeah, Sarah does seem to hear some stuff, but it seems to be spotty. And sometimes I think I am just wishful thinking. But I do get a few cues it is not a complete loss. Actually I was surprised she was interested in the pasta, there was no meat in it. My dog before her liked to eat grapefruit with me.

Cheers. Thanks for stopping by...Off to the Amazon...Laurie
