Sarah's last day

For those who have watched this from afar and/or have listened to me talk about Sarah doggy in emails and have been so supportive...She is going to be put down this evening here at home. I've no doubt it is the best thing for her.

  • I am so sorry to hear this Laurie. But I know that you would not be taking this step except that her suffering has got to the point that it's a mercy to end it for her, since nothing can be done to reverse it medically. And I'm sure she knows that whatever is done is done with love. My thoughts and prayers will be with you both this evening. --Jim

  • Laurie ~

You brought Sarah all the comfort you were ever able and your being with her during her final time was everything she needed in those moments. Your love for her comes through in every word... and these are words on an impersonal chunk of technology. Sarah knew your love in all the tangible ways that matter most.

Only time and the comfort of your memories will make your loss any easier.
